Bro. Toh’s father, Al, worked at the San Miguel Corporation in Legazpi, Makati, where the Light of Jesus Family held weekly prayer meetings at the SMC Auditorium. Bro. Al and his wife Eva attended the prayer meetings and became devoted servant leaders of LOJ. In 1986, when Toh was only 12 years old,

Bro. Al brought Toh along to one prayer meeting.

Bro. Toh relates, “Never stopped attending the prayer meetings since then, and I am now building The Feast in this same side of Makati, 31 years after.”

Beginnings

Feast Makati actually started at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Corporate Center in May 2009, built by Bro. Randy Borromeo (right).

This one Feast eventually sprouted to three Feasts in Makati, then two in Taguig, and one in Mandaluyong — all under the banner Feast Makati District.

As member of Feast Makati, Bro. Toh served in various ministries — as Bro. Randy’s events head, Worship head (since 2009) or servants’ group head.

Bro. Randy set out to build other Feasts such as Feast Makati Glorietta and Feast SM Aura. So that he could focus on building these Feasts, he tapped

Bro. Toh as builder of Feast Makati.

Feast Makati then transferred to the Acceler8 Legazpi Co-Working Place at the Legazpi Village, Makati City, so it was renamed Feast Makati Legaspi.

Divine Grace

The Feast sessions, from top: Fervent Worship; Bro. Toh leading Novena to God’s Love honoring the Word of God; inspiring Talks on spiritual growth, discipleship, and practical Christian living; fellowship after each gathering; and, of course, picture-picture.

Challenge

Feast Makati Legaspi had a strong following until the onslaught of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID) Pandemic in 2020 which forced lockdowns to prevent spread of the disease.

Undaunted, Feast Makati Legaspi continued the prayer meeting online called Feast at Home.

Says Bro. Toh: “We specialize in the use of technology to livestream our Feast, so, we continued doing this during the Pandemic. But since the Pandemic, our numbers haven’t really returned to former levels.

He adds, “We just continue serving and planting, doing our part and allowing God to grow us when He desires.”
